All Moms with Jaundice Babies

So very confused FTM here so please no judging! My husband and I are both white and our baby has Jaundice and super yellowish organish! Does this colour fade away? How do I know if thats her colour for medical reasons? I mean she has a beautiful Tan!! But just wondering is it Jaundice? Eyes are yellow ish and when I press on skin its yellow. Doc said itll fade away on its own about a week ago... so not knowing if it did.
