Is it hard if babies that are 2 years apart share a room?

Husband and I are debating if we are going to upgrade our home before baby number two. We have a 3bedroom 2bath. We would really like to keep a spare room for our family and friends that visit on a monthly basis. We feel like we are growing out of space but the only way we can afford to upgrade is to move almost an hour away. So we are debating if we can make it work here and what our options are. My husband is adamant that our daughter and second baby can’t share rooms

Mine are two weeks shy of exactly 2 years apart. We are in the same situation, 3 bedrooms but want to keep one as a spare/office for my husband. Our youngest stayed in our master bedroom with us until 6.5 months and fully sleep trained. She and our son have shared a room ever since and they are turning 2 and 4 next month. They LOVE being together. The only time I still separate them is at nap time because they aren’t tired enough to go to sleep if they are together. Our daughter naps in the pack and play in our master bedroom. I’ve already bought them bunk beds for the future and the plan is to keep them sharing a room until we buy our next house 2-4 years down the road.

My first two are 21 months apart and they share a room. They won't when they are a little older. My sister and I are 19 months apart and we shared a room for the first few years out of preference. 
They were both actually in my room until March (1st was 3, second was 18 months) and transitioning them to their own room was much easier because they were sharing. My 18 month old would have been ok, but my 3 year old would not have taken moving out of my room half as well if he didn't have his brother too.
