Has anyone’s baby had this before?

My son is 3 weeks old. I was about to change his diaper and noticed this weird rash. I’m getting ready to take him to urgent care but I was wondering if anyone knows what this might be? He hasn’t been out except for his drs appointments(he’s had 3). I’m a little scared to be honest because my other children have never had this. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Tia

My daughter had something similar and it was heat rash. I took off a few layers and it went away 😊

It looks like heat rash! My daughter is hot blooded, so she gets this often. When this does appear on her, I keep just a diaper on her for a while. And it goes away after a few minutes! If you’re super unsure, you can always call your pediatricians office, but it really looks like heat rash.

My son had this. It started on his face and made its way down to his torso. The doctor called it seborrhea. It’s not dangerous at all but just looks awful. He got prescribed some steroid cream called mometasone I think 🤔 and it cleared up quickly but it would come back in little flare ups until he was about 6 months old. It’s a very common thing in newborns.

I would send the pictures to your pediatrician, it could be eczema or a heat rash. My daughter actually just had a rash similar to that recently and turns out she got kissed be someone with a cold sore and it caused her to break out into a rash due to the viral infection of it.
