Ovulating on provera

I was prescribed provera to induce a period and due to start Clomid this cycle. Told by Dr to take provera on Day 35 if no period so started taking it. After 2 days/tablets of provera on Day 3 I was crampy and had lots of EWCM and just for the hell of it took an ovulation test.

I got a blazing positive on a cheap one and a solid smiley positive on the clearblue digital test.

So.. I've assumed I've ovulated (temps suggest this as well) so have stopped taking provera.

Has anyone else had this? Did I do the right thing to stop?
