I love the nickname Ellie. My husband loves the name Emily. Would it be silly to name her Emily and call her Ellie... the name Emily sounds like the letters MLE so I thought maybe Ellie wasn’t so crazy. 
What other names would you suggest for nn Ellie?

My one friend calls me Emmy which is very a similar to Ellie. My coworkers daughters nMe is Eleanor and we call her Ellie
If you plan to call her Ellie you could just name her that? Personal preference but I never Understood naming your kid one thing with the intention to call them something else and never by their actual name
