Whenever I take Tylenol it only works for 3 or 4 hours and then my fever skyrockets again very fast and it feels like hell. I have been to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics. I feel like crap. I cannot even sleep because when I try to my body heat makes the fever sky rocket even if I do not use blankets.

No, it isn’t. Tylenol only works for 3-4 hours. You have to redose every 4 hours. If your fever spikes at 3, take some Ibuprofen as well. You can take that every 6 hours. Space them out so that you have one or the other in your system. If you still have a fever after 48 hours, call your doctor. Make sure to stay hydrated. If it wasn’t responding to medications it would be a more immediate concern.

So honestly I know they are saying not to take NSAIDs for fever right now but tylenol never works for me.  I have to take ibuprofen for anything. I would alternate a few doses of tylenol and ibuprofen for the fever before I go to an urgent care in the morning... maybe it will break...🥴 feel better!

You can take Tylenol every 4-6 hours. Make sure you keep drinking fluids. Fluids will help bring down the fever. And don’t take a cool or cold shower. That can raise your fever.
