Tdap ?

So had my doctors appt today everything went great ! Doctor said to set my next apt for 3 weeks.. and to let him know at that apt if I want to have the tdap done ? What is this exactly and is it necessary?

It’s a vaccine to prevent tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough) 
I’d definitely recommend you, your partner and anyone who’s going to be around baby to get the vaccine

I got it at my last appointment a couple days ago and am making everyone who wants to be around baby get one. 🤷‍♀️ it didn’t really bother me. Sore in my arm that evening but that’s it

Just got mine Friday (4 days ago). More shoulder/arm muscle was sore for a few days, but otherwise I’ve had no symptoms.

Please do get it! Not only for you, but they recommend we get them each pregnancy to confer some immunity to baby in utero too. My arm is always sore afterwards, blech. But it's worth it. It's optional the way all vaccines are optional, I guess they can't force us, but it's absolutely a good idea.

It helps protect the baby from a multiple of illnesses after birth. They recommend anyone that will frequently be around the baby to get one. Caution though.. every time I’ve gotten it I’ve felt like I got hit by a bus for 3 days 😩 I dread it

it’s optional but my doctor recommended it. I haven’t decided yet.

I think it is like whooping cough protection. I got it last year with my last pregnancy and again this year at my 28 weeks. My hubby got one last year, but as far as I know, he only had to get it once.
