Is sex that important ??

Recently I have started to date this guy and we have been a thing for like two weeks. I met him years ago but we recently connected again. We’ve been hanging out more and more and whenever we chill at my house he wants to have sex and I just feel like it’s too early. I have always waited atleast a month to have sex with a guy, one reason is because that is just a standard for me and two, I have experienced sexual assault in my past so it takes me a little longer to open up intimately. But today he complained about us not having sex yet and I just find it weird because we barely started being a thing and sex should not even matter right now?? Is sex that important? It seems like that’s all he cares about.

Sex is important, yes. But pressuring your partner into sex? No. A gentleman would wait however long they needed to until you’re ready. Him complaining that you’re not having sex with him is a HUGE red flag. He needs to respect your past and boundaries.

I will however say, that a lot of guys, especially in these days, will jump right into the sack as soon as possible and they think it's normal. It's all hormones and that might just be what he considers normal. 
Just make your boundaries clear and if he persists, get out of there, because you don't need anything bad happening to you. Especially with what is going on in the world right now. Protect yourself.

Like the previous people i would say this sounds like a red flag. He shouldnt be complaining about not having sex with you as if he thinks he has a right to your body. I would say this shows he lacks respect for you. If you still want to be with him, i would have a serious talk with him about respecting boundaries (basically tell him that he shouldn’t ask you about it anymore bc you know he wants it already and any time after the first time he asks, it’s pressuring). If he acts funny about it when you ask him to respect you, i would STRONGLY advise not getting together with him.
