In light of the Twitter discussion where multiple women are coming out and voicing their experiences with sexual assault and rape, share yours if you can and are willing so that we can help you heal. It hurts to know that many women have gone through so much and have stayed silent for fear, shame, etc... In the sad world we live in, the large majority of women have or know someone who has experienced sexual assault. This is just an observation so if this post is triggering please ignore this but I hope you heal and know your worth and that you are strong and you are loved💓💓 keep your heads up queens and stay safe

I have been multiple times by 5 different people total and by 2 people several times over and over, once as a young child by my first step dad so technically molested and then by a church member when i actually went to church and that was when i was 18 and it happened several times. It is embarrassing to me and upsetting at times to recall. Its hard to admit it happened let alone how it seems to be engrained in my life and history. All happened because of either trusting the wrong person and then being trapped in a situation or being too young to understand or do anything.

My sister was raped at the age of 15 by two of her male friends.
I was raped, sexually abused, emotionally abused and physically abused by my ex-husband. I will forever have PTSD, anxiety and trigger events from it. I hate that those things still feel like he has power over me. It’s a horrible feeling some days.
I was date raped by a man in the military. I always try to rationalize that one. That somehow I gave him the wrong impression. I spent the night because I was so drunk. He wanted me to be his girlfriend. I thought some of the red flags were qualities that all men had, so some how ... it was my fault. It was normal for me to wake up with a man on top of me. That I shouldn’t feel violated and robbed of my choice. 
I blocked out a lot of stuff with my ex-husband and that man. It comes back in pieces sometimes.

I can say about 7/10 of my friends have come in contact with sexual assault. Including me that’s 8/10. These aren’t assaults caused by ransoms either, they’re by teachers, close “friends”, relatives, etc. they’re people we trust who take advantage of our friendship and want us to fear them. It’s not right at all and in my case it was a cousin. I stayed silent cause I didn’t want to break the family up and I was too young to recognize what happened. I pray all women find their strength and if anyone needs help message me x

I have, 1 of my sisters have, my mom has, her younger sister has, my grandmother has, a couple of my cousins have, and those are only the ones I know have spoken up about it. Almost all were by family except mine, my sisters, and my aunts.
