Tubes Tied Procedure/Recovery?

I’m 30, and will be 30 when we have our second baby. I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant. This will be our second. We have a 15 month old daughter. We have decided this will be our last child. We decided that if down the road, we do want another one we would adopt. We are pretty set on only having two. We’ve decided this for financial reasons, and also not wanting to spread ourselves too thin between the two kids. We love our daughter tremendously and already love the bean in my belly so so much. pregnancy is terrible on me mentally and physically. Both kids I have had terrible all day sickness where I’ve had to go in and get fluids, I’ve lost 20 pounds in the first trimester with both because of the all day sickness. I get terrible prenatal blues, and am super sad for most of the pregnancy and cry daily. With this pregnancy I’ve experienced horrible daily headaches, back pain, and hip pain. My children (well current, and soon to be) are 1000% worth every second of pregnancy, but it’s not something I want to experience again/

I’ve had the IUD (LOVED IT), birth control pills (hated), the implant (super hated).

I toyed with the idea of getting the IUD again for now but then again, what’s the point of just not getting my tubes tied if we both are 200% agreed on this being our last baby coming from me.

I’m curious what others have experienced with the procedure and after care? My dr talked to us about it at my last appt and said we would talk about it at home. I plan on talking to my dr at my next OB visit to talk to her about getting it done after this one is born.

Did any of you have it done right after birth? Was it hard having the procedure so soon after birth? What was recovery like?
