Down syndrome testing
So before I begin I would just like to make it very clear that no matter what my baby comes out with I will love her more than the air I breath.
Im a 22 yo and this is my first baby. I got quad screening done one week ago for Down syndrome. It came back positive. My doctor said it doesn’t mean she has Down syndrome it just means that she’s at a higher risk. At my age the chances are 1 in 1123 babies (according to my lab sheet). I tested 1 in 116 babies. My doctor said that I needed to come in for another blood test that would tell me if she has it or not. I went in on Monday the 1st of june. She told me I hav
e a 95% chance of her not having Down syndrome. I’m still waiting on the results, I was just wondering if maybe someone experienced the same thing and had a positive outcome.
Ps. All of my ultrasounds came back that she was “perfect” (as the lady constantly told me) every ultrasound I went to she was measuring 1 day ahead of what she was supposed to be. I also had a side ultrasound done by my aunt and she said she didn’t see anything that would point to Down syndrome in the ultrasound (I.e small ears, small head, small thumbs, etc.)
Here’s some pictures of my princess 🐘🌸🌻💛
