Epidural experience - 2nd times the charm?

My question is, has anyone experienced a labor where the epidural did NOT work and you still felt everything? Then you became pregnant again, and did the epidural again? Did it work or not work the 2nd time?

My first pregnancy, labor was HELL. I did everything to avoid epidural, (laughing gas, pills, morphine shot), and eventually the pain was unbearable and I wasn’t dilating (I was induced and only was 1cm dilated after over 24hrs). I did the epidural shot and it didn’t work 😭 I ended up having a C Section and was put under anesthesia.

Now I’m pregnant Again and will once again try to avoid epidural but I’m open to giving it another try. I’m just scared it won’t work and it’ll be a complete waste all over again. If everything goes bad again, I’ll just go straight to a c section.
