As states reopen, do you think we’ll see changes to hospital birth restrictions on visitors?

Maybe on the partners being there for ultrasounds and stuff but like allowing multiple visitors in and out? No. Covid hasn’t gone anywhere and doctors and hospitals know that.

No.... At my hospital my husband can only be with me and he has to stay the whole time. If he leaves the floor or building he can't come back.

I live in a shit hole called South Dakota and the whole time they have allowed fathers to be in the room for deliveries and now after baby is born you can have mom dad and two visitors a day. My state likes to pretend there’s no virus though.

My hospital recently lifted the restrictions to be able to have fathers in the room for any and all ultrasounds and births. We aren't allowed to record though, which, may be a determining factor in that decision.

I hope so, otherwise we have decided on a home birth this time. No way I’m laboring in a mask, and not allowed to have my husband with me to witness the birth of our child. Our hospital is also separating mother and baby until test results come back for Covid, which they said is an average of 5 days, not 45 minutes like some places are using. Those 5 days are so important for bonding and breastfeeding🖤

Our hospital added the ability to have a professional doula along with your support person. But nothing else yet. 
The hospitals will be the slowest. States are mainly opening for economic reasons. Not health ones.

As far as I know our hospital has allowed the father back with the mother during the pandemic. My husband was allowed to come back with me to every ultrasound but one (he was at work)

I’m in N.J. and my husband hasn’t been allowed to any appointment since all of this started. My state is still under a lot of restrictions, and hospitals aren’t allowing visitors other than the spouse/support person. I don’t see this changing until there’s a vaccine, personally.
