Cramps a labor sign?

A few days ago at the doctor I was 2 cm dilated and 70%. Today I had cramps and back pain for a good 45 minutes, but then it stopped. Has this happened to any of you? If it hadn’t stopped I probably would have started getting everything ready to head to the hospital.

I had pretty bad cramps for 6 hours and then they stopped. Evrr since the last couple of days have been having contractions on and off. I never realized that this would be quite the waiting game but I know it'll be worth it 😊

I've been having back pain and contractions for 3 weeks... I'm getting really impatient because I keep hoping it's the start of labor but then they die down after a few hours.
