so i’ve read a lot of post recently by black women trying to make every one understand what they are going through. i’ve read lots of post of women who have husbands/wives in law enforcement and tried to get them to understand.

i would just like to say this, first of all i am a latina woman, my family is from mexico and i was lucky enough to be born in the us. second, spanish is my second language and i am white passing. i understand these things about myself.

i will only say this once, black lives matters. your so who is police officer has been fearing for there life for about a week, for maybe 12 hours a day. black people fear for their life since the day they are born, all day every day. you can’t just stop being black. i read stories of little black girls trying to lighten their skin. can you believe that? all bc they don’t see women the same color as them on tv or magazines or social media. it’s absolutely heartbreaking and you may not notice it but a lot of you are racists.

speak up, say something. if you’re fearing to say something wrong, allow someone to correct you and take that in. why is it so hard for some of you women to be corrected.

also i would like to add that it is NOT a black person’s job to educate you. you guys are grown people, pick up a book, use google, literally everything you need to know can be found using your phone. this is 2020. black people SPECIFICALLY are fighting for their lives, are fighting to just walk down the street and not be stopped.

no one is saying police officers don’t matter, no one is saying white lives don’t matter, we are saying that black lives are in danger literally bc they are black and NO other reason.

lastly, you do not have to protest to support the blm movements, donate. if you are not in a place where you can donate, sign petitions. you can also educate yourself, talk to your families, talk to your kids, it starts at home. remember black lives matter.

EDIT: please check in with your black friends and friends that went to protest, it is not easy to be out there and props to anyone that has! i know someone is gona say some bull about protesters are not protesting peacefully or whatever, save it.
