No minutes.  Sperm (which is the bit needed for fertilization gets where it needs to be in seconds - it doesn’t not come out).  Semen serves zero purpose but to get the sperm out of the penis and into the vagina, so there’s no need to “keep it in” at all.  Per and clean up after sex to prevent a UTI.

I had read in a journal article that sometimes it beneficial to leave it for 15 mins as if you get straight up you can lose up to 60% of the swimmers. I read statistics and they got a group of 1926 people involved were they had artificial insemination and half of the group got up and walked around straight after and the other half stayed laid down resting for 15 mins. The group who stayed laid down resting for 15 mins had a 56% success rate compared to the group that walked around so just a bit of food for thought. I wouldn’t leave it in there all night but no harm in waiting 15 mins xx
