Would you unfollow someone on social media for this?

I saw a post going around on Instagram that people are unfollowing others on social media for not posting about BLM. 
Personally I think it’s a little ridiculous. Posting about it to spread awareness is great. At the same time though, I don’t think whether you post or not doesn’t, and shouldn’t, determine whether you support the movement or not. I haven’t posted anything about my views to social media because a lot of my black friends and family have said that they don’t care about it because so many racist people they know just use it to look trendy or front on social media. So I asked them what they thought would be the most beneficial ways to help make a difference. instead I donated money, signed petitions online, and brought food and beverages to a local protest.
This morning tho, I had someone inbox me to tell they are disappointed with me because I haven’t posted? And it was a white girl, not even a POC.

I would unfollow or unfriend someone for posting anti-BLM bullshit. I’m not going to unfollow or unfriend someone for not positing “Black Lives Matter” specifically.

i think if you’re somebody who is constantly posting on social media and posts your whole life on there, it is very weird that the thing you choose not to post about is blm and educating others on it. If you’re somebody who doesn’t use social media that much, it makes complete sense that you are doing things behind the scenes to help advocate for blm and i wouldn’t find it weird that you haven’t posted anything

I don’t want all this negativity in my life. I have unfollowed some white girls endlessly posting about it. 
     I do my part by not being racist. None of this is going to make anyone less racist, It’s just going to make the racists more racist. There isn’t a concrete goal at the end of this. We just need to raise our children better tbh. It almost seems like it’s just another issue for the US government to blow out of proportion to divide us with two very different viewpoints.

People are on a witch hunt for anyone they've decided aren't being loud enough online. And most of those people are white girls. 🤷‍♀️
Its really aggressive out there and people think you need to constantly blow up your social media so everyone knows you're on the right side.
Its ridiculous. And it's at the point where I feel a lot of people are posting just for the attention of doing it. Or to show off "look at me I'm.not racist!!" 
 It sounds like you're walking the walk and not just talking talk. So good for you! Block that person and don't waste your time and energy responding.
People are out for blood and they think suddenly they have a right to be rude af to anyone they deem too quiet.

Social media is not that serious 🙄. You dont have to post everything onto it. You dont have to share your opinion publicly or on social media, you dont have to get into debates or comment wars or anything else. Its silly to unfollow someone just because on social media they aren't taking part it the things going on.

I wouldn't unfriend someone for staying silent. 
My best example of why is my best friend. She hasn't said a thing. She just put her mom on hospice care a couple of days ago and her father has advanced cancer. She's kind of busy right now. 
The people I'm really wanting to (and I'm probably going to today because I'm at my wit's end) unfriend are the science deniers, bootlickers, and police apologists. I have not spent the last 10 years of my life serving my community as a healthcare professional to listen to ignorant, entitled people prioritize money and whims over the lives and health of their families and community. I'm sick and tired of the conspiracy theories. I'm tired of the hypocrisy. The same people who were demanding haircuts, the same people who were claiming the government was trying to take their rights, are now saying we should all just fall in line with police and do what we're told. 
Manuel Ellis was killed in the street by police on March 3rd a mile or so away from my home. I may be as white as they come but this was a man of my community. We all have skin in his game. We need change. I can't deal with people victim blaming, I can't deal with "not all cops." We're dying out here and it needs to stop.
