Until your period is due there isn’t much point testing, the date you had sex means absolutely nothing

It actually has nothing to do with when you had sex. It revolves around ovulation and how long ago that occurred. Implantation of a fertilized egg happens between 6-12 days after ovulation. It’s best to wait until after you miss your period to test because it’s hard to identify when and if implantation occurred and when it does, it can take 3-5 days for HCG to rise before it will be detected on a test.
