Tattoo: scar cover up.

Has anyone gotten a tattoo to cover scar tissue like this? Keloid scar?

Of course I'm going to talk to the tattoo artist whenever I decide to get one (probably later this year/next year). I just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this.

I have had these scars for like 12-14 years and I really hate them. I just started thinking last night about getting a tattoo to help cover them up, at least the large one. Any suggestions on what I could get, since it is kind of in a weird spot, right in the middle of my chest. My style is more on the simple, dainty, elegant side, so I don't want a huge piece across my entire chest.
