IUD strings?

Question

I have an IUD and I cant find the strings only like the tiniest bit. So I assume I'll have to go to my doctor and have them get it out. Has anyone had this and does that part hurt?

It’s possible for the strings to be tucked up behind your cervix. I’ve had that happen a couple of times. Pretty normal however I’d still go get it checked just to make sure it’s in proper place.  Mine fell out on its own without me knowing so I don’t think it hurts. However I’ve heard some people get a little crampy but I’d imagine it’s nothing worse then it being put in.

It did not hurt getting taken out. It felt like a pinch n was seriously done in seconds. I took some Tylenol after n I was good
