I’m a first time mom so super overwhelmed and stressed over this topic.. we live one state over so our family would be taking a short flight to see us once our baby arrives. Of course they want to come the second I go into labor but i don’t want anyone aside from my SO & my mom for the first 1-2 weeks especially due to Covid.

I’m really conflicted on how long I should wait to let the sets of grandparents meet and hold our little one. I’ve seen some women are waiting up to 2 months, or if they’re around they aren’t able to hold her.. at the end of the day we need to do what is safest for her tiny body but I already know our families will absolutely throw a fit if they cannot hold her. They think if they have masks on that it’s safe to come visit and be in our home. As a new mom during all of the current craziness, I can’t help but stress or worry about what the “right” thing to do is...

Would love any suggestions or recommendations from other mama’s or even some ideas on how to keep everyone happy and from missing out on her newborn stage, but most importantly keeping her safe.
