Different preg test types

I know pink dye is the best and that’s what I’ve used in the past. And I know digitals aren’t as sensitive.

Does pink dye/ first response test work well even like a month or two into pregnancy (if someones period is so irregular that they just didn’t know until a while after)? Like something like the hook effect wouldnt happen right? I read that those are rare, and for it to happen in the first trimester isn’t super likely right? I said yes but now we both are overthinking. Asking for a friend. Literally, she doesn’t have this app but wanted me to post. Thanks all! (We aren’t in the position, just want to be aware for the future)
