Room/bed sharing to Crib Transition

We just moved our oldest into her new “big kid” room, so our nursery is ready for our 6month old. He has been in our room in a pack n play since birth with many nights ending up in our bed. Does anyone have any suggestions for this transition? Our daughter was a breeze at all things baby, so we didn’t have to do anything when we moved her into the crib. I’m just looking for tips to make it easier on him! We personally aren’t fans of CIO, so any other tips would be great!
