How long after a membrane sweep?

I'm 39+0 and just had my first membrane sweep. I'm 3cm dilated and 50% effaced. The sweep wasn't painful at all 🙌 No blood or cramps. Feeling totally normal so far. This is my second pregnancy and I delivered my first child at 39+6 without a sweep. 
Wondering how long after a sweep you can expect contractions to start. Thanks!

I had contractions a little over 24 hrs after my sweep, and then babe made his appearance 36 hours after my sweep! 
I was literally the same as you, 3cm 50% effaced.

I had my sweep done 38+5, I was 4cm dilated and less than 24 hours later my water broke! Make sure you stay fairly active today with walking and squats! Remember if it does work it will naturally induce you within 24-48 hours but fingers crossed it works for you!

I had mine done last week when I was 38 and 6...had some contractions and lost my mucus plug but that’s all. I will be 40 weeks tomorrow. So I guess it didn’t work for me this time. I have an appt on Monday so if I don’t go into labor before than, I’ll have my doctor do it again.

I had mine done on Tuesday right at 39 weeks and 3cm dialated and 50% effaced. I had contractions about 2 hours later that ended up fizzling out..
