Preemie life

Elyssa

Well we had an unexpected arrival at 33.5 weeks. Baby Kurtis was born on June 5th at 11:00pm.

My water broke in the middle of the night and the plan was to stay the weekend and monitor everything and extend as much as possible. Well he decided he had enough and contractions hit and they hit fast. He came naturally and so fast that I didn’t even have a chance to take any meds. Thank god he was only 5.5oz.

What started out as a pregnancy with placenta previa and the idea that I’d be going having a C-section, to finding out it had moved, to then having my water break early and having a premature baby... all while ensuring this crazy pandemic, I think it’s safe to say this pregnancy has been insane.

Our baby boy is now living in the NICU for atleast a other week or two and both my husband and I are luckily allowed to visit but only one parent at a time.

It’s been rough but I can’t help but smile whenever I get to see this cute adorable face 🥰

Good luck to the rest of you mamas!
