Have you ever been divorced? Why did you decide to separate? Did you split belongings 50/50? Are you happier now?

Yes I’m divorced. I wanted the divorce because he was an angry alcoholic that was using alcohol to treat his depression which doesn’t work at all and he made my life and our kids’ lives miserable.  He refused to take his prescription antidepressants but would drink.  We had been married 16 years.  We didn’t fight over belongings, because I told him he could take whatever he wanted and I wrote him a check for $2000 just to facilitate his finding an apartment and getting the fuk outta my house. That was the best $2k I’ve ever spent. I have zero regrets and would do it all over again except I wouldn’t wait 16 years to make the decision.

Yes I am divorced because he cheated while I was pregnant with our daughter. Yes I am divorced, because he abused me in any way he could. I took all my stuff and left. I didn’t care about his items. I used my money in the account and drove home and never looked back. 
I am in a much better relationship now and he is 100% supportive and makes sure our family is taken care of

I got divorced in 2014 and got remarried to the most amazing man in 2019.

I got divorced at 25. My ex was a cheater. I’m now 31 with another husband and an almost 18 month old. We just bought a house with land and are trying to decide what to do with the house we currently live in. I am much better off now than I was then. I’m happy with where my life has gone.

Yes. I am 100% happier. Getting a divorce at 25 with 2 kids wasn’t my plan but it was a great decision and I am now with the love of my life. I was a SAHM and lived in a house my ex had prior to me so when I left him I had basically nothing. The only thing we split 50/50 was our kids. Good luck!💗
