Anyone have a Doc a tot or similar?

Does anyone have a doc a tot? I have a toddler and about to have a newborn in a few weeks so I was thinking a doc a tot might be nice for naps during the day? I could put him in the doc a tot on the couch or floor while I play with my toddler. But the doc a tot is super expensive, especially because they have different sizes so I’d have to size up each time he grows. Did anyone have one and was it worth it? Or something similar but cheaper??

They are not safe and shouldnt be used. They are a suffication hazzard. If you want baby to be in something a boppy baby lounder is safer than a doc a tot is. Or just leave the baby on the couch not in something or put them in there crib or bassinet, or pack n play

My best friend was gifted a doc a tot. She and her husband both agreed that it was an *enormous* waste of money. They’re thankful they didn’t pay for it, but still feel awful that ANYONE spent the money on it.
Babies grow so fast in the first year that their daughter didn’t fit in it for long. They said it’s a “glorified pillow/blanket” and when I asked if they’d ever recommend it for any reason, they said “absolutely not” because there are so many much cheaper things that do the exact same thing. Other companies make similar things with mesh sides to prevent smothering and they’re like $30.

I wanted one but couldn’t bring myself to spend the money on one. I ended up getting a travel bassinet - one that just folds up for about $30. Even that was a waste of money because my baby wouldn’t sleep just anywhere. He needed to be in a quiet room. He maybe slept in the bassinet 2 or 3 times.
