Am I feeding too much?

My girls are both 6 weeks old. They have been eating anywhere from 2-4 oz every 2-3 hours. At our last doctors visit a few days ago, my pediatrician says that they should only be eating 2oz every 2-3 hours and maybe one feeding at 3oz. However, my girls are NEVER satisfied with just 2oz.

Dont listen to that horrible advise. 
Feed your babies on demand. They know exactly what they need! My baby eats 4 oz every two hours since she was 3 weeks old! Dont ever cut back on feeding your baby. They know what they need to grow!

Eh, I wouldn’t listen to the doctor on that tbh. Babies eat when they are hungry and will stop when they aren’t.

pls don’t feed them any less than what they ask for! babies are good at knowing when they’re hungry. i have a 6 week old too and she feeds 4 oz every 3 hours usually, and sometimes even 5oz! my peds says this is a totally normal amount.
if you aren’t already, maybe try paced feeding. hold the baby in a more upright position (almost like sitting) and hold the bottle horizontally, instead of laying them down and holding the bottle upright, then stop every 1-1.5 oz to burp them. this helps cut down on any overfeeding.

Let them eat until they are happy. Many babies never use a 2 oz or only for a week or two. My children did because they were breastfed and so it was tiny bottles to tide them until I came home.

Feed your baby what they want. Mine was eating 3-4oz when he was 3 days old and he’s drinking around 5oz at a month old

Our 2 week old eats 3-4 ounces every 2-3 hours 🤷🏻‍♀️ our oldest ate about the same at her age. If baby’s hungry, you feed them. If they’re not hungry, they’re not going to eat it. It’s never been concerning to us and both of our daughters are very healthy 😊
