Suggestions for toys for 6 month old?

My baby has like three rattles but that’s really it as far as toys. ￼Do you have suggestions for any other toys that might engage her? Thank you :-)￼￼

My son loved these balls. They provide different textures which is interesting for them, work on grasping, roll to promote crawling, and he loved to teethe on the funky spiked ball. At this age he also loved a crinkle book, anything he could hit like a hammer or xylophone, and toys that squeaked.

I’m a pediatric occupational therapist, and I typically recommend toys/household objects that can be used in a variety of ways for a long time. Older infants typically enjoy feeling things with their hands and mouths and they’re starting to figure out cause and effect (If I shake this, it rattles; if I push this button, the animal pops up.) Putting things in containers and dumping them out gets really fun, as does dropping things and watching/hearing them fall. Simple things like balls, blocks (I like the silicone ones), mirrors, pots and pans, and splashing in water are all fun things. I usually don’t recommend things that require batteries as they don’t encourage as much exploration and creativity. Read and sing to your baby every day! Board books, crinkly fabric books, and touch and feel books are great for babies.
