Is your 20 month old talking ?

My son isn’t really talking. He’ll say occasional words like “pool” “go” “eat eat” “please” but nothing really consistent... he shows us what he wants or if something is wrong (sock not on right or if his shoe is hurting his feet, etc) but isn’t talking at all and I’m kind of worried

Our boy is growing up bilingual (English and Swedish), he's babbling a lot, but not actual words most of the time. He does say a few, like bye, look(in Swedish) and his current favourite NO! There is occasional other words but not a ton. I'm not too worried, he'll get there in the end 😊

Mama, dada, oma(his grandma), milk, please, cheese, water, hi, bye, wow, uh oh. consistently. Other words he will mimic a lot

My daughter and I can have whole (basic) conversations where her friends, same age, say only a handful of words. BUT with her friends I have noticed they have taken on in the language department in the past week or so! 
I didn’t talk at all until after i was 2.

My friend's daughter at the same age is talking heaps...our little guy on the other hand...he says quite a lot of words but doesn't pronounce them properly, so mainly only we can understand them. And he's not stringing words together yet really. I wouldn't worry if he's saying some words and can understand you and otherwise show what he wants. Just like with everything else, they all move at their own pace! I have friends who's 20 month olds have only just started to walk!

My son is 21 months and doesn’t talk at all. Not even a mama or dads :(
However my second son was a late talker too. He just started talking frequently at 3 years old (April)
Because of that I try not to worry.  I know each kid works at their own pace 🙏🏼💙
