39.5 and I went to the doctor to be checked, 0cm and 0% effaced. High, couldn’t even have a sweep bc nothing was happening. Water broke 24hrs later and immediate contractions! Don’t give up hope it can change like that!

Yes! At 39+5. Had a sweep down, went into labor 3 hours later. I progressed slowly though

My water broke on it’s own at 39w3d. I needed Pitocin after like 10 hours of very little progress. But at my appointment 4 days prior I was super high up, and barely a one. 
After 20 hours, and 2 hours of on/off pushing I had my daughter 😝

Yes! I was 42 weeks a day before I was scheduled to be induced. I went in because I thought my water was leaking, they said no sent me home after checking me, I was 1 cm dilated and cervix was still high. Within 2 hours I went back in because my water completely broke and I was 6cm! I had her within 9 hours, would have had her sooner but I got an epidural and the only doctor at the hospital was doing a csection so they told me to wait when I was at 10cm till she was done!

So at 38+5, my water broke in its own and I was 0 cm dilated and not having contractions. I did need intervention to start labor, which I know isn’t what you’re asking, but my water did break on its own.
