Twins?

Right so today I’ve just found out that there are twins in our family (from my dads side). His mum was a twin, and then his mums grandma was a twin. So it looks like it skips a generation. What are the chances of me having twins? I always just wanted one child, but it would literally be a blessing and a miracle if I could have twins 😍

Twins don’t skip generations actually. The mother has to have the gene to have greater chances because the process happens during ovulation. So the fact that your dad has some in his family just mean that he will transmit the gene to you. So yea you do have greater chance than someone who doesn’t have twins in her family.

Twins are passed from mothers side, not fathers.

Identical twins are a fluke. Fraternal are hereditary on the mother’s side. 
I was told that “taller & the older the  woman is” the more likely to get twins.

I’m an identical twin and I have twin brothers. I pray for just one little baby. I know two can be a handful. But either way it’s a blessing.
