Does line progression mean anything?

The nurse at my OB's office said line progression doesn't really mean anything. My lines are kinda staying the same/a little lighter, depending on the day. From your experience, does line progression mean anything as far as HCG levels? I would love to hear your experience too. Thanks!

My line stopped getting darker with my son , it stayed faint but he’s a year old today I just had low levels in my urine

It can help maybe give you an indication but most of the time it means nothing and that is why I say it's a myth as well as the drs I've spoken to. I had 3 very strong test at 8 dpo with my other pregnancies and this time around I only had vvvfl that never got darker but everything was all good this time around. My first pregnancy I had a miscarriage and my lines were still dark. I always advise to take a test if its positive then get blood work to get the answers you need

The fact that my lines stopped getting darker alerted me to the possibility that it was ectopic. My doctor also said not to worry about progression but lo and behold I was right and it was ectopic.
