Which is cheaper buying or renting?

I think buying a house is so much cheaper than renting. My boyfriend thinks the same thing too. But my other friends are saying no it’s a lot more expensive than renting.

Honestly it’s not

Houses are cheaper because all the money that you spend goes to the house

But all that money you spend on an apartment goes to waste

Only difference is you have to take care of the house, like the grass and things like that

The house I’m buying is going to be $1,000 a month instead of $1,500 a month like most apartments

The down payment was super cheap too. I have really good credit
