Mothers and not having time
One of the reasons I didn’t tell family members and friends yet that I’m pregnant, is that I’m not ready for all the commentary: “there goes your life” “you’ll never have time to sleep/shower/insert personal hygiene issue”
Is this really true? I’m getting tired of seeing all these pics on Instagram of women holding up placards while they hold their baby, look disheveled, no shower/makeup and the sign says, “you are beautiful. You are strong. You can get through this” blah blah blah 🙄
Is this really people’s experience? Is it really that bad? I call BS. When your baby is sleeping during the day—assuming you’re on maternity leave (for the sake of this convo—tho I know not everyone can take it)—don’t you take a shower? A nap? etc.
Just annoyed by people trying to freak me out as a first time mom.
