Travelling, international, COVID, Newborn, Alone, Advice please!!

Okay I will try to keep this short and still give all the details. I'm from the states but I live on the other side of the world with my husband (his original country) Our plan was always for me to travel back to the states alone to give birth and bring baby back again alone as soon as I could. ( Husband would not be able to come nor would family on either side make the trip either)

Reasons why I would do this:

>This countries healthcare is sub par.

>Besides my husband I have no one to support me or help me through this delivery.

>This country is a poor country, therefore very hard for citizens to get visas and travel anywhere. We basically want to ensure our child has an American citizenship so they have the freedoms of Americans in travel.

> Second to that we would obviously be travelling back and forth between the states and here alot, (me and the child) and it would be difficult if my child had a different citizenship.

> I know there is a way to get a citizenship for a child of a parent living abroad but the process just seems extremely difficult and I dont really understand it. Therefore I feel the best way to make sure my child has an american citizenship is to be born there.

>Also we live here permanently so there is not much my family gets to be involved with this child so I would like for them to at least be apart of the birth and first few months.

So now that there is covid everything is different. I do not want to risk my baby's life. It is a 30 hour trip with a layover both ways. And as soon as I got the okay from the pediatrician we would leave the states(so maybe around 2 months old)

My only question is with the reasons I have given is it worth it to go back to the states? Any decision my husband supports but this is obviously a very difficult choice for us.
