I’m so embarrassed I have trouble pronouncing “statistics” and a few other random words. When I pronounce my s’s it also makes a soft whistle sound too. I think it’s because I have a retainer bar on the back of four lower teeth I’ve had since I’ve had my braces taken out over a 10 years ago. My dentist said I should keep it in forever, but I really want it out since I swear it’s hindering my speech sometimes 🤨
