To purchase a firearm is as easy as to getting a license. So if anyone is going to be a firearm owner, the requirements have to be way stricter.

Yes we purchased our first hand gun. There's talk about allowing any one and everyone to carry without a permit. (I believe Texas has something to that extent).

To an extent.
But more so I support a complete overhaul of something that was written 230 years ago during a completely different time period. There needs to be new guidelines. You can’t live off of a set of rules established from that long ago when the world was a completely different place and gun violence has become an obvious issue. So it obviously needs modification. 
No civilian in America needs any kind of automatic weapon. Idgaf how you spin it. Other than hunting equipment (rifles) and handguns, you shouldn’t have access to it because it’s totally unnecessary.
