No coffee, tea or milk?

Just got my ultrasound appointment letter through and it says to drink x amount of liquid before the scan and not go to the loo, then it specifically says not to drink tea, coffee or milk. That's absolutely fine, I dont drink any of them, but I just wondered why not those specific drinks?

Probably something that makes baby to active or to sleepy maybe. I always drank coffee with both my kids and they weren’t any different then days I didn’t drink it lol. They both were active no matter what & perfect on ultrasound

Coffee tea and milk all make you have to go potty, they dont want you to really havs to go during the ultrasound.

I worked in an OB office. It’s because they’re diuretics make you have to go pee more

I was never told that but seems awfully weird? I have had 3 kids they’re all ranging from 12 down to 16 months and never heard this. I had ultra sounds weekly with them and then some. Even with our 20 week ultra sounds they never said this? Maybe specific to the place your going to possibly?

I was told to drink a soda before so that baby was awake

I drink all of these things and my doctor said it’s fine.
