Last few weeks appointments

Is it normal not to been seen by the maternity doctor from 32 weeks right up to birth and to just have a phone call at 37 weeks? I’m in Spain so not sure if there is many people on here from Spain but any experience from the system in the Uk will help.

I’m a little scared as this is first pregnancy and I feel like there has been no support. I’m lucky because I know bits and pieces about pregnancy and birth, and have been doing my own research. I’m just worried about what if I don’t know there is a problem in the last weeks, or am I suppose to have the b strep test?
