Failed induction, being sent home
I was admitted yesterday for an induction at 39+2 due to my medical history of stroke and blood thinners. My cervix was still closed and not dilated.
They used gel at 10pm and a tampon at 4am to soften the cervix but at 10 am this morning I was still not dilated or effaced.
My Dr decided to not start the pitocin because I can't have an epidural and she thought it would be too painful and long to induce on an unfavourable cervix. So she sent me home and asked me to come back tonight.
I am bummed and very worried to go through the same again tonight. During this time, my toddler is away and I can't see her. I feel like this is not necessary. Why can't I wait a natural birth :-(
