Amid COVID, is hubby allowed to go in the delivery room?

Stupid question, I know. Hubby and I are trying for #2 again after taking a couple months off. It just popped in my head. For all of you ladies who just gave birth, did the hospitals give any of you problems with letting your spouse into the delivery room? I guess I’m just being over paranoid

Yes most hospitals only allow 1 person in delivery room and they have to stay on that hospital floor the whole time. They can’t leave to get anything. So SO should bring enough food and supplies for 1 - 3 days.

Every hospital is different. I’d call around to your local hospitals and ask them what their policy is. I’m delivering this month and my hospital is allowing 1 support person. They aren’t allowing visitors anywhere else in the hospital, but they are for dying and laboring patients. They told me they strongly suggest my husband not leaving, but can’t stop him. We have a dog who needs to be let out and fed and no family to do that so my hubby has to come home to let her out and feed her at least twice a day. Worst case scenario we will have to ask a friend to help us, but for now that’s our plan.

Yes but only once you’re in active labour. I can’t face another hospital birth so I’m really really hoping for a home birth this time
