Hi everyone,

So my due date was Jan 25 but my little guy came early at the end of December.

He was tiny and in the 3rd percentile.

At 6 month check up yesterday, his head shot up to the 15th percentile while his weight and height stayed the same. the doctor just kept telling me not to worry (how worrisome..) and that shes referring us to Sick Kids in Toronto and they will give him an ultrasound, but with all the delays from covid it will likely be a few weeks before we get a call. It all kind of took me by surprise and I didn’t have time to process until I got home.

I googled it and he has a few other symptoms of hydrocephalus (large veins in skull, bulging soft spot) and it can be caused by premature birth.

Queue motherly freak out.

Has Anyone gone through this? Can you share your stories with me? If you were in my shoes would you take your baby to emerg to demand an ultrasound right away?
