Work after ivf?

Question

Hi guys I’m set to have my transfer next week.. I work in nursing and my sheet says return to work after a day of rest post transfer.. when did you guys go back? I have some lifting but will try to keep from doing as much.

They told me to “take it easy” for a day and that I could return to “normal activities” the following day but to avoid “ heavy lifting”. Even though it wasn’t required I opted to take the 2 days after transfer off to just relax ( still went for walks, etc) - It probably didn’t make a big difference but in my head I wanted to decease stress on my body ( I work in the nursing world as well :)  ) . 6 weeks, 1 day today. Do what feels right to you!

I’m a nurse and I’m back to work everything is okay beside the screaming headaches that I been having for the last two days I went home early yesterday because it hurt so bad and we can only take Tylenol which sucks. I do absolutely no heavy lifting period.

I am also a nurse . My line manager knows about the transfer and has taken any heavy caseload patients off me ( I am community specialist wounds ) . We need to look after ourselves we have been through so much and waited so long for this x x x

Yay fellow nurses! I was stressed about this but actually felt fine after the transfer. I had the day off the next day but really didn't need it. Good luck 🙂👍

If you’re a nurse, you never know what kind of day you’ll have it’s better to take 1-2 days off ... mostly so you don’t feel guilty and stressed about lifting too much etc! I’m a doctor and whenever I think oh work will be ok... something crazy happens and I feel guilty about it if the cycle doesn’t work out
