Would you go to your best friends wedding?

So my best friend had a huge wedding planned in August. Obviously covid ruined those plans. She’s now having an outdoor wedding in her backyard with around 50 guests. Some of the guests will be traveling in from other states on an airplane. She said people can wear masks if they want to but I can’t imagine how people will truly be 6 ft or more apart. Not to mention there will be buffet style food so people will all be serving themselves. 
Since she’s my best friend I think I’ll go and wear a mask the entire time. However I don’t feel comfortable taking my baby. Am I being over protected? I mean it is outside but I just feel like 50 people can’t really socially distance. Idk. Thoughts?

I would not go.  First, events that size are banned where I am.  Next how can 50 people distance in a backyard? Last, bathrooms...  Just a big nope from me.

I wouldn't go since covid cases are rising like crazy right now. You can bring it back to your baby and family so why risk it? I would send her a card with some money ($100?) and apologize then wish her a happy wedding.

Id go... and try my best to social distance and wear mask. In probably wouldnt eat. But depending on health... and vulnerable conditions... got to get bk to some sense of normalacy

With large gatherings these days “social distance” is just said to make the gathering seem safe. But you’re right, nobody at a wedding will be doing 6ft. I think if it were a more intimate gathering maybe 15 or less it would be okay to go. 50 people and some flying from different states is a little worrisome ( in my opinion) Just do what you feel is right for your family. Things can change in August... could or could not go thru. We never know these days

I guess depends on the size of the yard and age of my baby. At best, I would go with a proper mask and stay 6 feet away from others, bring my own food and be careful in the bathroom. If it is a smallish yard and distancing not possible, then I wouldn’t go.

Go to your best friend’s wedding, wear a mask if that’s what you want, and bring gloves to use the serving spoons if you’d prefer to, and leave your baby with someone you can trust and who is healthy.

I would go but I would wear a mask, and stay six feet apart even if that means moving your chair to the side or out of the way. Also, eat before you go to avoid the food situation. Just because it is your best friend. If it was soemone you weren’t that close with, I would skip it.

Go but make some modifications.
Dont bring the baby, wear a mask, keep away from groups of people as best you can and (this sucks) but dont eat from the buffet. 
Its outdoors so the risk will be mitigated, the baby wont be there so you wont attract people wanting to come over and touch your LO, you wont be touching the communal tools to serve yourself food. The mask will also dissuade people from coming over to you and striking up a conversation.
You will be ok.
