How do you stay awake during 3am feedings??? The struggle is real.

I go to the bathroom while my husband changes her diaper but then look through Facebook as she eats.

If you know baby will definitely wake up in the night to feed then maybe wake yourself up around that time and go to the toilet, freshen up, drink some water and then wake him yourself to feed him.

Whoops, we just co sleep and side lie nurse. As soon as he’s latched on, I’m usually dozed off. When he’s done and lets go, I pull him up to my shoulder/chest to help with his reflux and we just sleep. (He sleeps from 10-2 in a bassinet by the bed and I don’t have blankets in my bed)

During the night feeds I try and read the news or watch something, to force me to stay awake or physically get out of bed and go to the kitchen with some lights on! The struggle is REAL mama but hopefully your little one will start to sleep a bit longer so you can get a bit more of a stretch of sleep!

I go to the nursery to feed if it’s the middle of the night. The rocker helps me stay upright. I turn on a light and scroll through my phone also.

Not sure if I'm getting g use to it but I'm waking up every 3 hours and at times before baby wakes up. With a little boost of energy. I go to bed at 12 sleep around 1 after changing diaper,  feeding, change diaper and pumping and cleaning pump parts. Then I wake up at 3 to pump change babys diaper feed then change diaper again before putting him back to sleep. Then all again at 6 am and so on. At the beginning I was so cranky and wanted sleep so bad since. I didn't sleep the day I went into labor or the days I was at the hospital... zero sleep.. but now I nap when baby sleeps.

I go out into the living room with my phone...water..baby..breastfeeding pillow and turn on all the lights and the tv. I get myself a small snack sometimes too.

I put her next to me in bed and nurse her laying down. When she finishes, she unlatches and I’ll wake up eventually and put her back in her bassinet next to me. With my first born I used to use the nighttime feeds as my bible time and prayer time, and would put him back in his bassinet. This time around, I leave that for daytime and use the night time feeds to continue sleeping.
