I just noticed this bright red discharge. Should I go to the hospital?

No, unless you start filling a pad every hour you don’t need to go to the hospital.  Call your OB if you are concerned, but spotting is not uncommon in pregnancy.

Thank you everyone. After talking to my doctor he assured me that it was just irritation due to the exam yesterday which is what I originally thought. I just wasn’t used to this since I had none of this with my first pregnancy.

That’s not bright red, it’s considered pink tinged spotting. But red/pink does indicate a new bleed vs old blood, so I can see why you’d be alarmed. It could be from irritation to the cervix, or burst capillaries as things move and adjust to pregnancy. This really doesn’t warrant a trip to the hospital, but if you started bleeding and having painful cramping you may want to call the after hours line at your doctors office. But the hospital won’t be able to do much for you. 
Just try to relax, elevate your feet and stay hydrated. That’s all the hospital will have you do anyway. Good luck!

This does not warrant a trip to the hospital. I’d let your doctor know and see what they suggest and go from there. If it doesn’t continue or get worse (like a period) then try to relax.
