Cervical check

So I was in triage at 34w for elevated BP, when I was being monitored they saw I was contracting so triage nurse checked me, cervix was closed. She felt it immediately. I just left my 38w appointment and a nurse checked me and couldn’t reach it. was she maybe just not as skilled as the triage nurse? Or can my cervix move ?? FTM here bare with me
