Does your doctor take a urine sample every visit?

Just curious.. I’ve had two doctors (for two separate pregnancies) and neither of them took urine samples during every visit. They only took one during the first visit. I’m okay with this ha! My sisters had to give samples every visit though. Just wondering what majority of doctors do now.

They should be getting one every visit. They check for UTIs that can cause early contractions if untreated and some so drug tests.

Only did the first visit at 8 weeks, along with all the other lab work. I'm 28 weeks now and haven't since.

My current one doesn't but my first pregnancy yes they did. This pregnancy is just weird with covid and such so idk if that's normal or not. I haven't even seen my actual OB since my initial visit(9wks).

Yes cuz they check all sorts of things! Protein in urine, UTI, etc. I have to see a high risk doctor in a very sketchy city so they drug test the first appointment, but then just test levels from there on out each appointment.

I just did one for my first visit and haven’t since then. My sister told me with all of her pregnancies they had her get a urine test every appointment, but I am in a different state and I am sure covid May have to do with it.. It weirds me out a little bit because I don’t feel like I’m getting the complete care I should.

I had them every appointment until 19 weeks with my doctor and have been seeing my OB since then and haven't had a sample with her 🤷🏻‍♀️

Every visit I go to. They are checking for protein, blood and glucose in the urine.
