how many months am I? doctor appointment confusion

I went to my doctor today and she said I am 5,5months! I thought in 1week and 3days I am completing 6th month and going to the 7th😳😳 I am 23 weeks and 4 days. Please if you know and can explain will be so much appreciated 🙂

23 weeks x 7 days, + 4 days is 165. There are an average of 30 days in each month. 165 divided by 30 is 5.5. 
40 weeks by this calculation is actually 9.3333 months (but they also count the 2 weeks before your egg even drops at the beginning so makes sense).

Well. As month doesnehave exactly 4 weeks in it, more 4w+2/3w, then some take it differently. Some people divide weeks still by four, as I see you do, and some take it the other way... Like when was your last period? Count months from there. For example, if last period was in the middle of february, then mid march is one month, and mid july is five months. Etc.

if your doctor said your 5 months and your 23 weeks then multiply 5 momths by 4 weeks since theres 4 weeks in a month. that would be 20 weeks pregant and so 6 months multiplied by 4 weeks would be 24 weeks. so i say your 5 months and 3 weeks!
